Mother's Day 09

My little man's primary teacher might be the best one ever. On Mother's Day he came home with this "bouquet" of flowers with his little face in the center of many of the flowers. So completely adorable.

Alex's class had a Mommy-Makeover Day. It was precious. My boy was in charge of doing my make-up, hair, massaging my back, serving me snacks, and entertaining me. It was fabulous!

Alex's teacher had the children fill out a sheet of Mommy Facts that they presented to us during our Mommy Makeover. I loved reading Alex's responses....so cute.
How old is she? 33
How tall is she? 20 feet
How much does she weigh? 23 pounds
What color is her hair? orange
What is her favorite drink and snack? water and ....?
What does she cook? spaghetti
What's her favorite tv show? Fox News
What's her favorite thing to do with you? Read
What does she like to do for fun? play
What does she do during the day? Care for kids
What's the one thing she says to you most often? I love you.

Blogging Hiatus

I used to be so so good at keeping this blog updated. I've completely fallen out of practice. My mom doesn't even ask me for updates anymore, how sad! I really want to get back on board because I feel like the days are flying and this is my record of my children's childhood....I don't want to forget an important moment. And there have been so many, big and small, so I need to catch up. But for now, I leave you with a few photos of the Odd Couple:

This is Alex's new BFF. Her name is Gabriella. She is Puerto Rican. She gets a yellow light everyday that almost always ends up in a red light (this is Kindergarten speak for she is a trouble-maker who never listens to sweet Ms. Warren.) Alex sits directly in front of her in class. She recently convinced him that he is indeed half-Pokemon. He believes her with every fiber of his being. She has christened him with special Pokemon powers that he now believes he can use on all of his family. She then informed him that his family is also half-Pokemon, and she has given us each a Pokemon name that Alex now uses when referring to the members of his family. She makes promises of presents that never materialize, and every afternoon there is a new story about Garbriella that always includes one of her tall tales. It's alarming/entertaining that this the classmate Alex can't stop thinking about/talking about/making plans with!!
ps- Yes Alex lost his first tooth. It happened one night while I was at mutual (as these types things tend to. Of course the Doctor yanked it out.) Alan was overjoyed and I shed a few tears. He's too young to be loosing teeth!! I can't handle the growing up part of being a parent, I really can't. It's changed his whole face and I can't deal with it. I love my babies.
