Date night

Live music at the Queen Creek Olive Mill!

Weekend Retreat

I was lucky enough to sneak off for a few days on a women's retreat with these lovely ladies!

Adventures with jake

I rarely take Jake anywhere except the park. I try to get as much done while he is at school so I can focus on him while he's home. He has never been a fan of running errands or going in stores. He didn't have school on Friday and I needed to run to the mall for something. He was doing pretty well until we had to use the elevator in Barney's. After we got off he was furious because he wanted to keep riding. I can only imagine what the ladies in Barney's were thinking as they watched him chase after me as I made my way for the exit. He was hysterical. Once we were out of the store I couldn't help but take a few pics of him- he was such a mess. We packed up and headed home for naps.

Riverview Park

Will has been begging to check out the new Riverview Park since all of the kids at school have been talking about it. The boys got the flu one night and were sooooo sick. The next day they woke up feeling pretty good so after we made a big pot of chicken noodle soup and layed low to make sure they were well, we headed over to check out the park!

Of course that's Will at the top of the eifil tower!
Jake was stuck on top of this climbing structure for at least 30 minutes, I could not get him to come down! Finally finally he worked up the nerve and made his way to safety.

These two...

These two little monkeys keepy days very busy....and not very productive. Sure love being their mom!

Tea at the Ritz-Carlton

We had a great time celebrating Caroline's birthday with High Tea at the Ritz. I love my beautiful nieces! It's okay that I do not have daughters of my own, Caroline has agreed to share hers!

Spring Break 2014

We made a last minute decision to drive up to Park City for spring break and we had the best time!

Riding the Park City Trolley with grandma and cousins. It's tradition to go to The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory whenever we are in Park City!
I had the chance to go watch mom and dad speak to all of the missionaries in the MTC- it was an incredible experience!
We had some fun outings with Nana and Papa who are currently serving their mission at Temple Square. We loved seeing them, we miss them so much.

Grandpa took Alex and Will on a tubing date one evening- the boys loved it!

We rode the new train that goes all the way from SLC to Provo and then spent some time on BYU campus.

The kids had so much fun climbing in the sculpture garden at the MOA. I hope we inspired them to want to become cougars!

We had to stop for some creamery ice cream!
Jake sure loves and misses his Nana!

We had a long drive home to Arizona but jake was happy as long as he could watch Curious George and eat Cheetos! As we were driving he spontaneously said his first real sentence, "I want more Cheetos please!" We were all so excited we gave him the entire bag. At his school he has been working very hard to learn to put words together in sentence form so this was a huge accomplishment for him!
Jake sure loves to have time with grandma! It's always a sad day when she has to go home.

Jake loves his brother

These two have a special bond. If I'm not available jake heads for Alex. A few things they love to do are read books together, "boing boing" on the trampoline, and play with jakes toys. Jake is a lucky little guy to have an older brother who cares so deeply for him. Alex would do anything to make him happy.

Jake and Landon

Jake loves to match people! Every night he wants to MATCH B when we out his pjs on. Today at swim lessons he matched Landon and he loved it!

Sneaky little boy

Lately jake is obssessed with baby B. His latest thing is when he wakes up in the morning to go straight from his room to B's room and climb into B's crib. I hear squeals of laughter from baby and the mobile music blaring and I know he's done it again. There is no sweeter sound than the two of them playing happily together.

Just like his older brother

Jake has been obsessing over Thomas the train over the last few months. It's taken me back to where we were a few years ago when Alex was a toddler. Today after I put jake down for his nap I went to check on him and found him fast asleep, holding on to Thomas for dear life. I know I have a picture of Alex in this same bed holding the same Thomas when he was just jakes age. I love how alike AND how different these boys are from each other. Alex was always a very calm obiedient toddler, jake is the opposite. But jake goes to Alex for everything- he's his favorite friend, jumping on the tramp buddy, person to read a story with--they are best friends. I love watching their relationship develop!
