The surgery went smoothly. This kid is unbelievable. His doctor said he should be in severe pain from all of the trauma to the eyes, especially because the last surgery was done so recently. The doctor couldn't believe how tough he is being- absolutely no complaints at all from Alex, even as they were putting steroid drops in his eyes the day after surgery. He seems to be doing well but we really won't know his prognosis for a while. Right now we are just grateful to have it done with, and grateful for the resilience of our big boy. Thanks so much for all your thoughts and prayers. We know they make a difference.
***By the way, guess who's being Spiderman for Halloween? Thanks Grandma, for the spidy-jammies. They are a huge hit around our house.

way to go stud...knew you'd pull through. :)
What a tough little guy you have! We hope the surgery proves to be successful.
I'm so relieved. I was worried about calling if things were stressful. I prayed for you guys! Love you all!
We can't imagine all you've been through. Happy to hear it went well.
